Advisory Planning Commission
An Advisory Planning Commission (referred
to as an APC) is appointed
in each Electoral Area of the Sunshine Coast Regional District. In Roberts
Creek, the Regional Director currently has 10 members who are appointed
by the Director and SCRD Board to serve on the APC, for 2 year terms
on a rotating basis. The members elect a Chairperson for a one year term.
The APC's responsibilities are advisory (the APC does not actually make
binding decisions) and may involve land use issues, community planning
input and rural land use bylaws. Lately, they have been commenting
on many Application For Subdivision Approvals and Development Variance
Permits. Knowing the contents of our OCP and sharing rural community
values, help them give appropriate feedback to the Regional District and
the Regional Director.
General Meetings:
Your APC meets on the last Monday of each month, at 7:00p.m., in
the Roberts Creek Reading Room (not usually in July and August). These
meetings are always open to the public so if you are curious about an item
on the Agenda, please feel free to pop in.
